What's the QR code for?

Every card in the deck has a QR code printed on it. When the person who receives your card scans it, it takes them to the HYA community where they can share their story and get a deck of their own. The goal is for each card to create a chain of moments, not just one.

Is this just for people I already know?

Not at all. Some missions are designed for strangers: leaving a card where someone will find it, handing one to someone you catch being kind, mailing one to a person you've never met. The deck works in any direction you aim it.

What's the difference between the mission and the message on each card?

The mission is for you: what to do, who to give it to, how to put it into the world. The message is for whoever receives it: a specific, printed line of acknowledgment that the card carries to them. You don't have to write anything. The card does that part.

What are some examples of the missions?

Each card has a different challenge. Some are easy: "Give this to someone who always shows up." Some take a little more courage: "Leave this somewhere a stranger will find it on a hard day." Some are for keeping: "Hold onto this one. It's for you." The full range is in the deck.

How big are the cards?

Standard playing card size, about 2.5 x 3.5 inches. Small enough to carry in a wallet, pocket, or bag. Designed to go places with you.

Is this a good gift?

One of the more useful ones, honestly. It's small, thoughtful, and different from most things people receive. Works well for birthdays, holidays, end-of-year teacher or coworker gifts, or for anyone who could use a reminder they're not invisible. It also tends to get used, which most gifts don't.
